WILL Hood To Go fit me?
HTG will fit most women who are size S to 2X.
Size 1 will fit a size SM to LG (20 inch measurement across the back-armholes are 29 inches in diameter).
Size 2 will fit a size XL to 2X (26 inch measurement across the back-armholes are 34 inches in diameter).
HTG does not cross the front of your chest, so bust size does not matter. Sizes are approximations, so if you are not sure of your size, please refer to the measurements above. We recommend ordering the larger size if you’re still unsure.
What if Hood To Go doesn’t fit me?
We gladly take returns if HTG doesn’t meet your needs for any reason. Just mail back to the return address and we will refund your purchase price. USPS First Class Parcel is the preferred method of return domestic shipping. Please email hoodtogo@gmail.com if you are planning on returning your product. What is the fabric?
HTG is made from 100% poly microfiber, a tight weave soft fabric with a slight sheen. It has a breathable Durable Water Resistant (DWR) finish. Virtually all rainwear have their exteriors treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish. DWRs diminish in performance due to a number of factors—dirt, body oils, abrasion and repeated launderings. Often they can be revived by a washing and a few minutes of tumbling in a clothes dryer set on low or medium heat.
How do I care for my Hood To Go?
HTG is machine washable. Wash cold with like colors. Tumble dry low. Iron if needed. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean.
How do I wear Hood To Go?
We suggest putting the hood up and adjusting the vest before putting your coat on over it. That way, the hood will end up on the outside instead of under your coat . When worn properly the vest won’t show at all, therefore not interfering with your chosen outfit. HTG can also be worn under a sweater, a vest, even a shirt so you can always have a hood handy! Some of our customers wear the hood over a t-shirt, tank top or bathing suit top for a cute fashion statement.
Can I wear my Hood To Go in any weather?
The double seam hood style is designed to stay put in windy or more extreme weather, (beach walks, running, etc) while the single seam version is cut larger to easily slide on and off and is useful for protecting hair from light moisture during day to day use. Remember, Hood to Go is water resistant and protects your head. If your coat absorbs water, it may get wet in heavy rain but your hair will still look great!
Will water get between the hood and the back of my coat?
We have not found that to be a problem. Usually the back neck or collar of the coat provides an adequate barrier to the rain.
What colors are available?
HTG is available in either black or white.
I don’t live in the USA. Can I still order a Hood To Go?
Yes, we ship internationally. Shipping starts at $8.00 for one hood and rises incrementally for multiple hoods. Hood To Go is not responsible for delivery once the package departs the United States. Buyers are responsible for any customs or import taxes that may apply. Please check with your local post office/customs prior to ordering.
